WMS Firepower Playfield Refurbishing - Part III!

FIREPOWER CABINET

The cabinet needs to be cleaned and there is usually some dirt on its sides. I usually wipe the sides with a cloth and some Novus 2 then I polish with furniture polish to get finish on the surface. Flipper buttons tend to be full of dirt so they are cleaned and also ball shooter is dismantled and cleaned.

Here we see how much dirt it sits on the flipper button, since they are so dirty and worn, I replace them with a new pair of buttons.

The switches for flippers on the inside of the cabinet is grinded so that they are free from oxidation or replaced if necessary.

Cleaning the knocker.

On the underside of the cabinet sat a steel beam as protection for kicks to break into and take the coins in the coin box. Since this probably will not happen in my home, I remove this ugly beam, which appeared on the sides of the cabinet.
